She Who Remembers Coat

There is a rock art painting in  Horse Thief Park, Washington State, known as Tsagaglalal,  She Who Watches Over. The buttons for this coat carry her image. Made from German tanned deer skin, fully lined, custom buttons and metal star motif spots line the beaded areas. All areas of this garment are hand beaded, body and edges. The sleeves tie on at the arm opening making them removable. The garment is vest and coat in one.

Athabaskan Coat

Made with brain tanned deer skins, wool trade cloth, glass seed beads, antler and Celtic Knot buttons and brass cones through out the fringe. Hand beaded floral panels adorn all areas. Cape area is lined with cotton ticking while the main body is unlined. Knee length. The Athabaskan people are a sub-arctic group. This garment style is warn the men.
